The Sangita Lakshana Pracina Paddhati, Sangita Prashamsa and Lakshana Sangraha of the Sangita Sampradaya Pradarsini were published in English for the first time in 2010.
Prof. S.R.Janakiraman had worked on these two sections with his Lakshana guru Shri P.K. Rajagopala Iyer and the initial segments of which were published in the Journal of the Madras Music Academy, many decades ago. He provided the translation and critical commentary for these section which was included in the printed edition.
To commemorate the 250th year of Shri Muttusvami Dikshita, we are happy to release this to public domain on the day of Vishvavasu Samvatsaram, Mina Māsam,Krttika Nakshatram (the day traditionally observed as Muttusvami Dikshitar Jayanti).
Along with this we have also uploaded the Dikshita Kirtana Prakashika (an English version originally released on guruguha.org in 2009) which has now been provided in multiple lipis by Dr. P.P.Narayanaswami.
