To commemorate the 250th Jayanti of Shri Muttusvami Dikshita, the following files are uploaded.
The Sangita Lakshana Pracina Paddhati, Lakshana Sangraha and the section “Instructions for understanding the printed mistakes” were translated into English and published for the first time in 2010.
Prof. S.R.Janakiraman had worked on these two sections with his Lakshana guru Shri P.K. Rajagopala Iyer several decades ago, the initial segments of which were published in the Journal of the Madras Music Academy. When the Web edition of English Sampradaya Pradarshini was released, he provided the translation and critical commentary for this section which was included in the printed edition.
We are happy to release this to public domain on the day of Vishvavasu Samvatsaram, Mina Māsan, Krttika Nakshatram, which has been traditionally observed as his Jayanti. Along with this we will also be uploading the Dikshita Kirtana Prakashika in multiple lipis generated by Dr. P.P.Narayanaswami.
